Protection and sustainable management of water resources / AVSF
This programme has a threefold objective. Firstly, to protect water resources upstream and manage them efficiently and fairly (measuring the impact of existing practices on the environment, protection of infiltration zones, rehabilitation of irrigation systems, definition of rules for usage). Secondly, implement collective and sustainable management of pastureland used by local farming communities, in order to improve yield (distribution of improved variety of pastures, fodder conservation practices). Lastly, it is planned to reintroduce ancestral Andean agronomic practices to ensure soil conservation (reforestation, quickset hedges, natural pesticides, etc.).
