Improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education / Water Aid
This project will be conducted in partnership with the local association SASO, and aims to improve the health and quality of life of the most vulnerable communities in the province of Passore. To meet this objective, the project employs a participative method to involve the villagers, inhabitants, authorities and partners in the management of the water supply, hygiene and protecting the soil against erosion. The project will implement several productions focused on the protection of the environment: the restoration and construction of irrigation barriers, implementation of market gardening, and the building of catchment areas and of latrines.

- 17 forings have been made and 17 restored.
The restoration works of the water system of Bokin (5 000 people) are achieved.
The restoration of Guimba's bouli is current.
674 family latrines have been built (more than 10,000 beneficiaries).
Several local builders have been trained for the building of latrines.
Several training and awarness actions on hygiene and several communication actions have also been led.
