Developing community protected areas and sustainable livelihoods / FFI
The objective of this project is to relieve the pressure on natural resources (poaching, etc.) and at the same time assure food safety for the population.
To achieve this objective, first of all by increasing agricultural production, particularly by training the local people in the use of agricultural techniques that respect the environment (intensive rice-farming technique, composting, etc.) and, secondly by creating, with the local people, 33 protected community areas, to be rendered profitable in order to generate revenue for the local population.
